About

We don't work for Tesla. We don't work for Elon. We don't have access to anything you don't have access to.

We're just the people who noticed something.

Somewhere between the launch footage and the panel gaps, between the software updates at 2am and the customer service hold music that may or may not exist, there's a story happening that most people are too busy arguing about to actually write down.

So we're writing it down.

TEZLA.AUTOS is an independent cultural project. We document the weird awesome, funny, occasionally profound experience of watching the car industry change in real time — from the perspective of people who showed up early and decided to pay attention.

The dispatches are part field report, part humor column, part time capsule. Some are set now. Some are set in the future. All of them are written with the kind of affection you can only have for something that impresses you and infuriates you in the same week.

If you're looking for a balanced, objective take on electric vehicles, this isn't it. If you're looking for blind loyalty, this isn't that either. We wrote an entire dispatch about the customer service. We know what we're dealing with.

We just think the story is too weird awesome not to document.
